Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TrueNote, LLC d/b/a HotelHinge ("HotelHinge," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website or use our subscription service. We collect as little as we need, we do not sell your personal information, and we tell you plainly what we do.
1. Notice at collection
We collect the following categories of personal information, for the purposes described, from these sources:
- Account data (name, business email, and optionally firm/company): provided by you when you create an account, used to set up and support your account.
- Billing data: card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details (such as the last four digits and billing history); we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data (pages viewed, feature usage, approximate, aggregate analytics): collected automatically to operate and improve the Service. We use privacy-first, aggregate analytics and do not build advertising profiles.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not direct the Service to children. Hotel owner, operator, and transaction party names that appear in the product are public-record facts about businesses and properties, attributed to their public sources; they are not consumer marketing data.
2. How we use it
- To provide, secure, and support the Service and your account.
- To process subscriptions and send billing receipts and service notices.
- To understand and improve the Service using aggregate analytics.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service (for example, Stripe for payments and our hosting and analytics providers), under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us, and as required by law. We do not share your account data with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws. Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing to opt out of; if that ever changes, we will provide a working opt-out here first.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to access or receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at info@hotelhinge.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, with one permitted extension). You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for records and legal compliance, and we keep billing records for the period required by tax and accounting rules. Aggregate analytics are not tied to your identity.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place. See our Security & Trust page for more.
